Neighbour Day

A socially connected community is a place where everyone feels like they belong.  It's a place where people know their neighbours and feel motivated to get involved, build relationships, and contribute to the creation of strong social networks. 

For 2024 we, East Village Neighbourhood Association along with carya, are continuing our tradition of hosting a Neighbour Day event here in East Village as an opportunity for residents to meet each other and socialize.  Our event this year will have a mid-day barbeque hosted by carya, a local Latin music group, games and activities. 

A number of local organizations have been invited to participate in the Neighbour Day event among them are: CMLC, The Drop In Centre, Central Library, National Music Centre (Studio Bell).   As well Councillor Terry Wong has been invited and may drop by. 

Day: June 15th, 2024 

Time: 11:00am to 3:00pm 

Lunch will begin at noon

Music will begin at 1:00pm

Place: East Village 5th Street Square SE  / 5th Street between 7th Avenue SE and 8th Avenue SE.
