  GARDEN SEASON 2026 - mid May to mid October

  The Crossroads Community Garden provides the opportunity for East Village Neighbourhood Association (EVNA) members to come together to grow vegetables, flowers, and herbs, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors throughout the growing season (May-October)!

  Who is eligible to lease a garden plot?

  To lease a garden plot, you must:

  • reside within the boundaries of East Village, and
  • be an EVNA resident member

  NOTE:We ask that all gardeners renew their EVNA memberships for the upcoming year prior to registering for a garden plot (separate transaction). 

  When can I register for my garden plot?

  • Returning gardeners (those who had a plot in 2024) are able to register first, beginning January 28, 2026
    (a registration code is required & will be emailed to returning gardeners separately).
  • New gardeners are able to register beginning March 16, 2026.

  Can I register offline?

  Yes! Please contact our Garden Registrar to arrange for in-person registration & payments. We are planning to set up a registration in person event in February.

To ensure fresh perspectives, we limit executive positions to five consecutive years, allowing new representatives to engage and have their voices heard!   The East Village Street Fair is held annually on Canada Day - July 01 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, (Along 8 Avenue SE, between 4 Street & 6 Street SE) and the Beer Garden ( 5th Street SE between 7 Avenue & 8 Avenue SE) from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
  

  EV Street Fair is a signature event attracting more than 50,000 visitors, with over 80 vendors, musicians and cultural performances. It’s no wonder we are Calgary’s destination event on Canada Day.

  This one of kind event is a chance for all types of businesses and vendors to get exposure with the general public, local East Village businesses, and community leaders. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our great city while having fun and learning all the great ideas, products, and businesses that are in our backyard.
