Get Ready to Par-Tea for Neighbour Day
East Village Neighbour Day 2026 – Tea in the Square
Hey EV Neighbours! On Saturday, June 20 join EVNA, Carya and CMLC for an afternoon of music, tea, sweets, activities, and conversation!
Starting at noon (12:00pm), come down to 5th Street Square to enjoy (and maybe even dance) to the Latin music, sip on tea with some special sweets, and help us create a “Village of Neighbours”!
Get to know your neighbours while participating in multiple activities!
People Bingo: Walk around and find the neighbour who has a match to your bingo squares! A great way to connect with other East Village residents AND you get to use your card to be entered in a draw! That’s what you call a WinWin!
Art Table: Summer heat is coming! Let’s make and decorate paper fans!
Communi-tea Communal Art Piece: Decorate a card and describes what Community means to you!
These cards will be posted together to create a uniquely East Village communal art piece.
Dance Bingo: At 2:00pm, just like the musical chairs, you dance, you move, and when the music stops, you stop! Drawn on the ground are differant numbers, if you happen to stop on the number called, you win a little prize!
Can’t wait to see you there and to see our neighbours building the connections that make the East Village such a welcoming and inclusive community!!
You can also meet some neighbours by volunteering at the event, just email events@yycevna.org and we will get back to you about volunteering.

2026 Neighbour Day event in East Village on June 20, 2026, is being hosted by the East Village Neighbourhood Association (EVNA), Carya, and the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC).
EV Street Fair is a signature event attracting more than 50,000 visitors, with over 80 vendors, musicians and cultural performances. It’s no wonder we are Calgary’s destination event on Canada Day.
This one of kind event is a chance for all types of businesses and vendors to get exposure with the general public, local East Village businesses, and community leaders. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our great city while having fun and learning all the great ideas, products, and businesses that are in our backyard.
