  Garden REGISTRATION now open for the 2024 season!

  The Crossroads Community Garden provides the opportunity for East Village Neighbourhood Association (EVNA) members to come together to grow vegetables, flowers, and herbs, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors throughout the growing season (May-October)!

  Who is eligible to lease a garden plot?

  To lease a garden plot, you must:

  • reside within the boundaries of East Village, and
  • be an EVNA resident member

  NOTE:We ask that all gardeners renew their EVNA memberships for the upcoming year prior to registering for a garden plot (separate transaction). 

  When can I register for my garden plot?

  • Returning gardeners (those who had a plot in 2023) are able to register beginning January 15, 2024
    (a registration code is required & will be emailed to returning gardeners separately)
  • If you pre-registered at the Harvest Party, we will register you automatically. 
  • New gardeners are able to register beginning March 15, 2024.

  The East Village Street Fair is held annually on Canada Day - July 01, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, (Along 8 Avenue SE, between 4th Street & 6th Street SE) 

  EV Street Fair is a signature event attracting more than 50,000 visitors, with over 100 vendors, musicians and cultural performances. It’s no wonder we are Calgary’s destination event on Canada Day.

  Calling all volunteers!

  As a neighbourhood association, each year we are in need of volunteers to help us run the EV Street Fair. We are looking to fill the following positions:

  • Set Up coordinator & support crew
  • Take Down coordinator & support crew
  • Family Area coordinator & support crew
  • First Aid/Lost Persons Booth coordinator & support crew (Must have First Aid & CPR Training)
  • Beer Garden set up, take down and general support during the event.

  Volunteers will be scheduled their choice of 4-hour shift:

  • 06:00 - 10:00
  • 07:00 - 11:00
  • 08:00 - 12:00
  • 09:00 - 13:00
  • 10:00 - 14:00
  • 11:00 - 15:00
  • 12:00 - 16:00
  • 13:00 - 17:00
  • 14:00 - 18:00
  • 18:00 - 21:00 (Beer Garden only)

  Also, we will be holding information sessions/training for all coordinator positions in the two weeks prior to the event.

  This one of kind event is a chance for all types of businesses and vendors to get exposure with the general public, local East Village businesses, and community leaders. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our great city while having fun and learning all the great ideas, products, and businesses that are in our backyard.
