The East Village Street Fair (EVSF) is held annually on 
Canada Day - July 01 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Along 8 AV SE, between 6 ST & 5 ST SE + 5th Street Square).

EV Street Fair is a signature event attracting more than 25,000 visitors, with over 100 vendors, musicians and cultural performances. It’s no wonder we are Calgary’s destination event on Canada Day.

This one of kind event is a chance for all types of businesses and vendors to get exposure with the general public, local East Village businesses, and community leaders. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our great city while having fun and learning all the great ideas, products, and businesses that are in our backyard.

Getting to EV Street Fair

Public transit is the easiest way to reach the venue. Passengers can take either the Red or Blue Lines of the LRT system to City Hall Station, then walk 3 blocks east toward the event venues. Alternatively, the 307 MAX Purple & 302 BRT lines will take you right to the event.

Those choosing to bike to East Village will find it conveniently connected to the Riverwalk and 4 Street SE Cycle Tracks, as well as the communities of Victoria Park, Bridgeland, Ramsay, Inglewood, and the commercial downtown. Bike parking is available at various locations in proximity to the venue.

Should visitors choose to drive, there are several parking lots and limited street parking available in proximity to the venue.

VOLUNTEER INFO

Calling all volunteers!

As a neighbourhood association, each year we are in need of volunteers to help us run the EV Street Fair. We are looking to fill the following positions:

  • Set Up 
    coordinator & support crew
  • Take Down 
    coordinator & support crew
  • Puppy Zone 
    coordinator & support crew
  • Family Area 
    coordinator & support crew
  • First Aid/Lost Persons Booth
    coordinator & support crew 
    (Must have First Aid & CPR Training)
  • Beer Garden
    Bartender (Must have ProServe) & support crew

Volunteers will be scheduled their choice of 4-hour shift. Also, we will be holding information sessions/training for all coordinator positions in the two weeks prior to the event.
